Dr. Michael Leuthner

Practice Owner

Dr. Michael Leuthner graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After graduation, he participated in a one year internship at a large referral practice on the east coast and spent another year as an intern mentor. He joined Petcare Clinics as an associate in 1997, and became owner of our current Petcare Animal Hospital in 2009. Dr. Leuthner has special interests in Internal medicine, as well as, endoscopy, ultrasound, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He also specializes in client communications and providing patients with advanced medical prevention and treatment. Dr. Leuthner lives with his wife (also a veterinarian) , 2 boys, and several pets in New Glarus. He enjoys spending time with his family and pets, fishing, and the outdoors.

Dr. Keith Gunby

Dr. Keith Gunby graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee in 1990. He spent the first decade of his professional career at a private practice in Connecticut and the second working at a busy emergency and critical care practice in Madison, WI. He joined Petcare Animal Hospital as our relief veterinarian in 2009. He enjoys working with all species of companion animals and has a special interest in providing patients with minimally invasive surgical options with the aid of rigid endoscopy technology (often used in human surgical procedures such as gall bladder and appendix laparoscopy). Dr. Gunby lives with his wife (also a veterinarian), four children, and their many species of pets in Mount Horeb.

Dr. Jim Zoet

Dr. Jim Zoet graduated from the University of Wisconsin SVM with the class of 1996. His career focus has been in emergency medicine and surgery. Dr. Zoet’s interests include spending time with his family and his new yellow Labrador Retriever named Lord Stanley Cup and cheering on the Badgers! Besides enjoying hockey, fishing, and gardening, Jim also has taken up biking. He will be riding in the Wisconsin Dairyland Dare again this year!

Dr. Alyssa White

Dr. Alyssa White graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She is interested in soft tissue surgery and animal behavior. Dr. White is certified in Fear Free handling, and strives to make your pet’s veterinary experience less stressful and more enjoyable. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, coaching gymnastics, and spending time with her dog Rosie and her cat Ivy. She also enjoys traveling, especially when she can combine her love for veterinary medicine and traveling. She has volunteered in veterinary clinics in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and the Galapagos Islands.
